What is Project Shenanigans?

  • Sep. 16th, 2009 at 2:16 PM
Determination by Pacrat
Project Shenanigans is a daily, interactive sketchbook project by Growly. Every week I will open up the floor for your ideas and suggestions of things you want to see me draw. I'll do a drawing a day in the book and post a scan here. :)
At the end, when I've finished the book, I'll be auctioning it off, so only suggest your own characters if you don't mind the originals being sold to someone else!
The ideas I choose will be chosen from random. More on the suggestion process in the next post. :)

Thanks to all who participated and cheered me on through this project!

Show's over folks. ;) Thanks.

Didn't sell...

So, the book didn't sell. :/
I'm a bit at a loss now, I dunno what to do.
I guess I could try again in a couple weeks, after FC. It seems sales on everything are super slow because of that.

It also seems like people prefer Furbuy these days, so I might try on there.
Or, I'll just choose NEITHER and go with eBay. *shrug*

Thoughts? Offers? Trout?

One More Day!

Just as an Eff Why Eye, there's about a day left on the sketchbook auction! :)

I'll also take offers outside of Furbid if you're opposed to using it for whatever reason.

LAST PAGE!!!! Let's have a party in the comments! xD
Since the last page is the title page, I just went through and picked out characters and animals I had drawn as earlier requests, and compiled them together with a title. :D I really love how my lettering on "Shenanigans" looks!

So holy shit guys. I'm done. The book is completely chock full of art. :OOO
I am a bit disappointed I couldn't upload every single day, but I drew in it just about every day, so I guess that still counts.
Drawing out your suggestions has been really fun, and has given me ideas for future pieces. :)
I wanna thank you all for your support and comments! <333

I'll post again when the auction is up.

[info]wolvenillusion requested a picture of the gang playing Rockband! :D I couldn't quite fit myself in there, but there are only three instruments in her set anyways, so I'd imagine I'm just watching somewhere in the background. xD

Aaaaand we're back! Sorry for the delay, amigos!

[info]richter_x wanted a drawing of his character going to the dentist! I just watched Little Shop of Horrors last week, so I made somewhat of an obvious connection, wahahaha.

Two more drawings to go! <3

Sorry about the delays, I'm just as excited as you are to see this project be complete!

[info]anjel_kitty wanted to see an airbender eagle! Now she has the whole elemental set, haha. I like how this one came out, I used reference yet again for this one since each group seems to have their own unique stances.

[info]colley suggested "Iiiiii am sooooo hyyyyyper, Iiiiiii haaaad some suuuuuugar."
It reminded me of me and my net friends as young teens, we were full of the LOL SO RANDUM I'M HYPER junk, so here is a perky mall goth dragon pestering Amy. xD

Oh, and also... I accidentally skipped the first page of the book a long time ago (it was stuck to the inside cover so I didn't know it was a page for the longest time...) so I'm going to do something special on it. Dunno what. I might just pick my favorite suggestion I've gotten so far that I haven't used and put it on there and incorporate a title ("Growly's Project Shenanigans") on it.

And now we're back with the normal numbering system :)

[info]anjel_kitty: "Happy new year!"
I always watch the New Year's celebrations on TV with my family, like Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve. I've always wondered what it would be like to actually go out for New Year's and be a part of the madness with all those hundreds of people out there in the streets. :3 It sounds like chaotic fun.

Even just drawing all those little abbreviations of people was so tedious. x_x

So wow, there's only 13 pages left in the sketchbook... sure has gone by quickly :D
When it's full, I'll put it up for sale on either Furbid or Furbuy. Which do you prefer? Is there any one site you absolutely refuse to use? I'm not really concerned with the reasons why, I just want to know which one you'd prefer!

Also, what is a fair starting price? I mean what do you think realistically furries would bid? I know how much it's probably worth, but I fear anything triple digits will scare people off. I am thinking maybe a starting bid of $90?
I'll also offer an option to have the front and back covers custom painted with acrylics to your specifications if the bid amount goes over ___ dollars.

So yeah...
1. Furbid or Furbuy?
2. How much for the starting bid? (ie: how much would you pay, not an idealized price I'll never meet)
3. How much should I charge extra to paint the covers?
